<br />
Here’s the old look website… <br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjchjXaHKtakhFvop_b0vwyYxZCOivzbrwBw1-A0u0iCN3gGin_hd-Yh9akaF_gXwfgmAN5vxvZepOtqPQYuPiTnU-LuIRfFLap0czDcruXooFeY67t-GSi5RqxkonAo8u1Lz-GiB7ODgQ/s1600/ArcherAirguns-Old-Site-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjchjXaHKtakhFvop_b0vwyYxZCOivzbrwBw1-A0u0iCN3gGin_hd-Yh9akaF_gXwfgmAN5vxvZepOtqPQYuPiTnU-LuIRfFLap0czDcruXooFeY67t-GSi5RqxkonAo8u1Lz-GiB7ODgQ/s320/ArcherAirguns-Old-Site-web.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
And here’s the new look website…. <br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCe7EUZIKdo_QY2Pbs8Zmas_O9H__VUCFtblNn9TuVhYbpuIwS6_RzuxbHyxsZMGXCAcWJWH41FPeyj-1hxtQ3OnXs-uA1uSSNCxq814TIuXUUfrmjnAVBFdoR2VhyKfIhGJsk8ZAyKnM/s1600/ArcherAirguns-New-Site-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCe7EUZIKdo_QY2Pbs8Zmas_O9H__VUCFtblNn9TuVhYbpuIwS6_RzuxbHyxsZMGXCAcWJWH41FPeyj-1hxtQ3OnXs-uA1uSSNCxq814TIuXUUfrmjnAVBFdoR2VhyKfIhGJsk8ZAyKnM/s320/ArcherAirguns-New-Site-web.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
We’ve made the change to look more contemporary and also - more importantly - to offer a much better viewing and shopping experience for all our customers who use a tablet or smartphone to surf the web.<br />
<br />
Although the new look web site looks very different, you will soon see that we’ve tried very hard to keep the basic structure of the old site intact. This means that almost everything is still in the same place and, so, should be easy to find.<br />
<br />
You'll see that the "Product Categories" menu is still arranged vertically (on the desktop computer version) on the left of the site, with the same set of choices as before. Cellphone users will see a "MENU" box that they can click to access the same choices.<br />
<br />
To be clear, the new site…<br />
<br />
- Is still Archer Airguns and is still owned by Archer Airguns Inc.<br />
<br />
- Has the same products in the same organizational structure as the old site.<br />
<br />
- Has the same “industrial strength” security and shopping cart system.<br />
<br />
- Will continue to process all orders previously placed on the "old" website.<br />
<br />
- Continues all existing User Accounts.<br />
<br />
- Continues to securely accept credit card and PayPal payments.<br />
<br />
We've invested a lot of time, effort and money to create the new, more modern site, but we’ve done this to make a better shopping experience for everyone, especially for cellphone and tablet users.<br />
<br />
I hope that you will like the new site! Please let me know if you have any feedback.<br />

<br />
This <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Hatsan-Airgun-Bipod-p/hatsanpcpbipod.htm">two piece bipod</a> fits perfectly onto Hatsan air rifles having Weaver/Picatinny side rails on the forend of the stock. The bipod legs can be extended to different lengths and folded back (or forward) for carrying.<br />
<br />
This is a far superior solution compared to mounting a conventional bipod on the underside of the stock.<br />
<br />
It fits Hatsan AT44-10 Tactical, Hatsan Galatian QE Synthetic, Hatsan BT65SB Elite etc. The photo above shows the bipod fitted to a Hatsan Galatian.<br />
<br />
It will also fit other air rifles with Weaver/Picatinny side rails.<br />
<br />
This <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Hatsan-Airgun-Bipod-p/hatsanpcpbipod.htm">bipod</a> is manufactured by Stoeger Airguns, item number 90249. It's in stock at Archer Airguns!<br />

These kits make it easy to find the parts you need to repair or reseal an old Benjamin multi pump pellet gun.<br />
<br />
The first products are a seal kit and a screw kit. There's also a replacement valve available.<br />
<br />
These kits fit Benjamin 392 and 397 air rifles manufactured since 1997 that have plastic trigger assemblies. They also fit “Phase 1” air rifles manufactured between 1995 and 1997 with the old style trigger. <br />

<br />
This valve fits most models manufactured since 1995, including the Phase 1 models, having a separate, non-soldered valve. Generally, if your air rifle has a plastic trigger and trigger guard, this valve will fit. This valve can be used as a direct replacement for valves with part numbers 397A032 and 397-032.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS6QODWzEjE-qhhFQYx8mSSIHaZ2-B_gU0oBn_0tgx55D14gdhJrMv-tgggPQAiq1KJp9wm613syJX1e4bW33lwKQEJTqWBGutq6MNZS1J8fcy3MZR353aehZWjv9mFUJ9JO_LJU6XOyw/s1600/Beeman-Logo-HAM.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgS6QODWzEjE-qhhFQYx8mSSIHaZ2-B_gU0oBn_0tgx55D14gdhJrMv-tgggPQAiq1KJp9wm613syJX1e4bW33lwKQEJTqWBGutq6MNZS1J8fcy3MZR353aehZWjv9mFUJ9JO_LJU6XOyw/s320/Beeman-Logo-HAM.jpg" /></a><br />
Here's the official statement about a name change coming for QB78 family air rifles.<br />
<br />
S/R Industries, the owner of the Marksman/Beeman brands and subsidiary of SAG (Shanghai Airgun Company), the owner of Industry Brand, announce that their range of CO2-powered air rifles will henceforth be sold under the Beeman brand and no longer as Industry Brand products.<br />
<br />
Specifically, this Beeman QB78 air rifle branding change affects the following CO2-powered air rifles: QB78, QB78 Deluxe, QB79, AR2078A and AR2079A.<br />
<br />
The reasons for this change are two-fold:<br />
<br />
1. The renewed popularity of these air rifles.<br />
<br />
2. To develop a more consistent brand story.<br />
<br />
S/R Industries plans a rolling change from Industry Brand to Beeman QB78 air rifle branding, the timing will be as inventory of Industry Brand products has been depleted.<br />
<br />
The initial inventory of Beeman-branded products will be in brown boxes with the product having the Beeman logo. Subsequent products will come in retail packaging.<br />
<br />
Archer Airguns knows of no change to the air rifles themselves, the only change is branding. My guess is that it could take some months for this branding change to be implemented.Stephen Archerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13543155589352079608noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6186681188953339980.post-64729880237153603622015-03-02T19:01:00.002-05:002015-03-02T19:01:54.573-05:00Some Long Lost Friends Back in Stock!After a long break, I'm pleased - and relieved - to be able to say that we have a number of sought-after products back in stock at Archer Airguns.<br />
<br />
Among the highlights are the re-appearance of QB57 complete barrel assemblies.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj70vQdMvEOh8GfSTh42O8n4rJHdotXE9d8PBXucSp9OLLViUBTdYPLjnqPgK0GjOaeGkFMIXqxU3ithCs5qy8XEfXzi9tl9XCN8b8kwr6o4D8JZ-TBwM6JuHX-YrbRx6WNNLSA8DJ-zp8/s1600/QB57-Barrel.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj70vQdMvEOh8GfSTh42O8n4rJHdotXE9d8PBXucSp9OLLViUBTdYPLjnqPgK0GjOaeGkFMIXqxU3ithCs5qy8XEfXzi9tl9XCN8b8kwr6o4D8JZ-TBwM6JuHX-YrbRx6WNNLSA8DJ-zp8/s320/QB57-Barrel.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
These are available in both .177 caliber and .22 cal. Any QB57 can be used with a barrel of "the other" caliber from its original condition and this makes it ideal for those of us who like to have an air rifle in two different calibers. You can see them here:<br />
<a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/QB57-Barrel-Assembly-p/qb57barstock22.htm">http://www.archerairguns.com/QB57-Barrel-Assembly-p/qb57barstock22.htm</a><br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/QB57-Barrel-Assembly-p/qb57barstock22.htm">http://www.archerairguns.com/QB57-Barrel-Assembly-p/qb57barstock177.htm</a><br />
<br />
Of course, a great benefit to the QB57 is that the sights and/or scope are mounted on the barrel assembly. This means that the barrel can be removed and replaced on the gun as many times as you like and it still holds zero. This is about the only air rifle I know that has this great benefit. As the QB57 has a "takedown" configuration, that's a particularly valuable benefit.<br />
<br />
Also back again after years - literally - are the RAP4 On/Offs with Gauge. This product can be attached to a CO2 tank, or the Ninja HPA Regulated Tank we sell for the QB79, and allows the tank to be removed from the air rifle without the need for depressurization.<br />
<br />

<br />
If you have broken fiber optic front sights or are worried about them breaking, this kit could be for you!<br />
<br />
This repair kit provides parts and instructions for repairing broken fiber optic front sight elements on many air rifles. It has been tested to work with most Umarex air rifles such as the Octane, with most Ruger air rifles including the Air Hawk, with Beeman RS-2 air rifles and many Crosman air rifles such as the Optimus and 760 models. It also fits the QB78 Deluxe.<br />
<br />
The photo below shows the typical appearance of front sights that can be repaired with this kit.<br />

<br />
Nine fiber optic rods are included as - given the exposed nature of these front sights - it’s likely that their fiber optic elements will be broken repeatedly!<br />
<br />
The high quality fiber optic rods included in this kit are much brighter than the factory originals. They also make it possible for you to change the color of a fiber optic front sight if you don’t like the factory color. Red, orange and green rods all are included in this kit.<br />
<br />
Note that each rod will be suitable for making two repairs on short front sights, such as those fitted to the Ruger Air Hawk and Beeman RS2 air rifles.<br />

<br />
Thanks to all those who have been waiting patiently!<br />
<br />
QB78 and QB78 Deluxe air rifles are now back in stock at <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/qb78-airgun-family-air-rifles-s/27.htm">http://www.archerairguns.com/qb78-airgun-family-air-rifles-s/27.htm</a><br />
<br />
The QB78 Repeater is also available again at <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/QB78-repeater-s/80.htm">http://www.archerairguns.com/QB78-repeater-s/80.htm</a><br />
<br />
We have all these models available in both .177 and .22 calibers.<br />
<br />
I apologize to everyone who has been waiting. The reason for the delay is this...<br />
<br />
We sold out of all supplies of these models in the rush before Christmas. This should not have been a problem as we had placed orders for more supplies in the Fall. However a short delay in production by the factory was compounded by a HUGE delay caused by the port strike (or whatever's happening there) at Los Angeles. The container containing our guns was stuck in the port for nearly 2 months, so the QB78s only arrived here yesterday.<br />
<br />
We also have plentiful supplies of the ever-popular QF-2 Cleaning and Parts Kits for B3 air rifles.<br />
<a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/QF-2-Cleaning-and-Parts-Kit-p/ibqf-2.htm">http://www.archerairguns.com/QF-2-Cleaning-and-Parts-Kit-p/ibqf-2.htm</a><br />

<br />
Price for the <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Bore-Whips-22-Cal-p/bore-whips.22.htm">.22 Caliber Bore-Whips</a> is the same as for the .177 caliber version and they work just as well, but they're green instead of orange so that we won't get them confused!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin6f3NGt5N4fi5Q-6Gc0VhWMEyEY3DNwNf497a_fZhElGlHxuwOwuAXBB9n3gCqFS8tb3TA1303ZSaqYBfc0RoR5Yg2RloJ4gIhB0WFGQ6V1MKATCHypHDsM1pnlHzyWD4DP44_xD6blY/s1600/Bore-Whips-22-web-high.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEin6f3NGt5N4fi5Q-6Gc0VhWMEyEY3DNwNf497a_fZhElGlHxuwOwuAXBB9n3gCqFS8tb3TA1303ZSaqYBfc0RoR5Yg2RloJ4gIhB0WFGQ6V1MKATCHypHDsM1pnlHzyWD4DP44_xD6blY/s320/Bore-Whips-22-web-high.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
Also like the .177 version, the <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Bore-Whips-22-Cal-p/bore-whips.22.htm">.22 Caliber Bore Whips</a> can be left in the barrel as a safety indicator, showing that your air rifle is "safe" and cannot be fired.<br />
<br />
Bore-Whips make an ideal cleaning solution for airguns. They clean the bore well, without the risk of damage that can occur to shallow, fragile airgun rifling if too aggressive cleaning with a metal brush is undertaken.Stephen Archerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13543155589352079608noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6186681188953339980.post-63323374390386778832015-01-09T16:43:00.001-05:002015-01-09T16:43:27.708-05:00Genuine Benjamin Air Rifle Slings Now AvailableWow!!! Apologies for the long time since the last post. The Christmas rush was incredible and it lasted into January...<br />
<br />
We also have some new products added to the <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com">Archer Airguns online store</a>, one of which is a genuine Benjamin air rifle sling. <br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbe9KK09O6rV8ns0MdWPnVox7q_NKXNK85znZe4jN-yzd_CDXUijtxgGOE_zskDHghSi2fYM9QY85OAOJYhHeF38jwGuXyAVZVeaGiTdCBBqpJgJhU2GIw4yfl5pqzGXTod8tNrlxDjMc/s1600/Benjamin-sling-high-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbe9KK09O6rV8ns0MdWPnVox7q_NKXNK85znZe4jN-yzd_CDXUijtxgGOE_zskDHghSi2fYM9QY85OAOJYhHeF38jwGuXyAVZVeaGiTdCBBqpJgJhU2GIw4yfl5pqzGXTod8tNrlxDjMc/s320/Benjamin-sling-high-web.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
This <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Sling-for-Benjamin-air-rifles-Model-81010-p/benjaminsling.htm">Benjamin sling</a> fits directly to Benjamin break barrel air rifles featuring a forward loop mount and rear swivel base.<br />
<br />
Constructed of 1-inch wide black synthetic webbing with a wide padded section bearing the Benjamin logo. This sling makes carrying an air rifle in the field much easier and safer.<br />
<br />
The <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Sling-for-Benjamin-air-rifles-Model-81010-p/benjaminsling.htm">Benjamin air rifle sling</a> can be used with Marauder air rifles with the addition of a set of 1-inch sling swivels. (Actually, you only need one sling swivel as one is supplied with this sling).<br />
<br />
There's more new stuff coming shortly. Thanks for your patience!<br />

<br />
This new scope is ideal for use with many air rifles, particularly if you're looking for a short, light scope.<br />
<br />
Image quality of the <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Hammers-6-x-32AO-Scope-and-Rings-p/hammers6x32aoscope.htm">Hammers 6 x 32AO scope</a> is good and the Adjustable Objective (AO) capability allows focusing down to 5 yards.<br />
<br />
These scopes have mil-dot reticles, with red and green illumination - selectable if required for use in low light. They're supplied with flip-up lens caps and screw caps for the elevation and windage turrets.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCb_gbqakSZEMdYR0_r1z9ANEzwlZGdL9OdQLziRu63Q-cC78v8DH2uGzJP2xIXem8jSWOgXQCX7P5rM0GqNi68244C3mJ0sa9MCwvYpDvArDv75nJ6_eFbhHZrfHsL0_kW2XPVOgCcBw/s1600/Hammers-6x32AO-scope-web-high.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCb_gbqakSZEMdYR0_r1z9ANEzwlZGdL9OdQLziRu63Q-cC78v8DH2uGzJP2xIXem8jSWOgXQCX7P5rM0GqNi68244C3mJ0sa9MCwvYpDvArDv75nJ6_eFbhHZrfHsL0_kW2XPVOgCcBw/s320/Hammers-6x32AO-scope-web-high.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
This new <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Hammers-6-x-32AO-Scope-and-Rings-p/hammers6x32aoscope.htm">Hammers 6x32AO scope</a> is comparable in many way to a Bugbuster, but it's significantly cheaper and is supplied with airgun rings, not Weaver/Picatinny rings. This gives a bigger saving for most airgun users who don't need Weaver rings and then need to buy a separate set of airgun rings.<br />
<br />
We have had many happy customers for the other Hammers scopes we sell and have no doubt that many more will love this new compact 6 x 32AO scope!<br />
<br />
The photograph below shows this scope mounted on a QB78 Deluxe air rifle. And, yes, there is clearance between the scope and the rear sight...<br />

<br />
It's almost impossible to prevent this damage as the new O rings swell out into the gauge port hole in the tube and then are cut in that area as they push further into the tub past the hole. These cuts almost inevitably lead to leaking - which is often why the gun was taken apart in the first place, of course!<br />
<br />
Now Archer Airguns offers a solution to this issue. It's the Filler Plugs for Benjamin Marauder and Discovery air rifles.<br />
<br />
In the factory, Crosman uses a jig that closes the gauge port hole when the valve and Gauge Port are installed. This prevents damage to these O rings during assembly.<br />
<br />
These new Filler Plugs provide a much simpler - and cheaper - method of achieving the same effect. <br />
<br />
The Filler Plugs are precisely-sized, er, fillers that are used to close the gauge port hole during reassembly. <br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3fFuFfOpMfFj72KGRn4FdXCAjRdRQ4pVrxEuokIBHwc6ipmSE6SsjwWAizY_kn2dDu7vJ26vPj-hIQYr2uwDqxLjrK3rKlCppQnluo9BSOuj5S9zHmm8Z6uc7ry40ekCCCx9uH7knSos/s1600/Model_M.JPG" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3fFuFfOpMfFj72KGRn4FdXCAjRdRQ4pVrxEuokIBHwc6ipmSE6SsjwWAizY_kn2dDu7vJ26vPj-hIQYr2uwDqxLjrK3rKlCppQnluo9BSOuj5S9zHmm8Z6uc7ry40ekCCCx9uH7knSos/s320/Model_M.JPG" /></a><br />
<br />
<i>Above, the Filler Plug for Marauder Air Rifles.</i><br />
<br />
The Filler Plug is simply held in place by hand when reinstalling the valve and gauge port, keeping the O rings depressed as they are pushed down past the gauge port hole. Simple but effective!<br />
<br />
There's one Filler Plug to fit the Benjamin Marauder Air Rifle, a second version fits the Benjamin Discovery and Crosman Challenger 2009 air rifles. They're identified by an embossed "M" or "D" in the underside of the Filler Plug.<br />

<br />
Now we have an answer - at least for .177 caliber!<br />
<br />
Bore-Whips are supplied in packs of three. They comprise a flexible, yet sturdy synthetic pull through with a lint-free foam tip bonded to this "rod".<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Bore-Whips-177-Cal-p/bore-whips.177.htm">Bore-Whips</a> can be used dry, or with your choice of barrel cleaner - Break Free, Goo Gone, or whatever you prefer, for gentle yet effective bore cleaning. The foam tips can be washed and the Bore-Whips used multiple times. You can see them at <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Bore-Whips-177-Cal-p/bore-whips.177.htm">http://www.archerairguns.com/Bore-Whips-177-Cal-p/bore-whips.177.htm</a><br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf_yO3fERFIZf2QxJyPdhfEqeau9RqsPViQcJpOBa8TnGmU2d7PAOEHytBvZwNZjBQ0-bKgcs01oaHL9pxf3ioyH8My1buagGSzeIzd1kji-IVNE1ntOl882u8Xf35Y3Zc3h9GlPrs8oA/s1600/Borewhips-web-high.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgf_yO3fERFIZf2QxJyPdhfEqeau9RqsPViQcJpOBa8TnGmU2d7PAOEHytBvZwNZjBQ0-bKgcs01oaHL9pxf3ioyH8My1buagGSzeIzd1kji-IVNE1ntOl882u8Xf35Y3Zc3h9GlPrs8oA/s320/Borewhips-web-high.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
We're told by the manufacturer that Bore-Whips will soon be available in .22 caliber. Archer Airguns will carry these also as soon as they are available.<br />
<br />
Also now available are more parts for Benjamin Marauder air rifles.<br />
<br />
The improved valve featured in the new generation Marauders is now available for use in .177 and .22 caliber Marauder air rifles. It's <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Valve-for-Benjamin-Marauder-p/maraudervalve17722.htm">Crosman part 1764-100</a> and it's suitable for use in all Benjamin Marauder Air Rifles, both first and second generation guns. <br />
<br />
This new valve has a yellow anodized finish. So, don't confuse it with the first generation Marauder .25 caliber valve, which is also the same color!<br />
<br />

<br />
One more Marauder air rifle parts assembly now in stock is the breech <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Plunger-Assy-for-Benjamin-Marauder-p/marauderplungerassy.htm">Plunger Assembly, Crosman part 1763-106</a>. Again, this fits both first and second generation Marauder air rifles, it restrains the bolt travel under operation.<br />
<br />
Many Marauder air rifles sent to Archer Airguns for repair have this Plunger Assembly damaged and I'm not sure why. There's no need to crank down tightly on the screw!<br />

<br />
Just added today to Hard Air Magazine is a test review of the Remington Express air rifle.<br />
<br />
This Chinese-made airgun looks beautiful, and much of it is well designed. But there's just one feature that's missing. It has no scope stop!<br />
<br />
The result is vertical stringing in HAM's test targets when shot using a scope.<br />
<br />
If you shoot with open sights, however, the Remington Express could be a great choice for a "1,000 FPS" springer.<br />
<br />

<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjDch-8s32NXTF5onwuG9KRAFPo6Wu071H0eHadFdn0hEVsFTDu7G6uCR3mof9uhepx0chOJ_ewUj6XS5e71btSaYHnaCPxwKA-raZ4ul5XMgwRU9MPCYDAoPayNyFZvk1rOXiIg0KYPs/s1600/Mach-12.5-Cover-HAM.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjDch-8s32NXTF5onwuG9KRAFPo6Wu071H0eHadFdn0hEVsFTDu7G6uCR3mof9uhepx0chOJ_ewUj6XS5e71btSaYHnaCPxwKA-raZ4ul5XMgwRU9MPCYDAoPayNyFZvk1rOXiIg0KYPs/s320/Mach-12.5-Cover-HAM.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
The Mach 12.5 is a Chinese-manufactured model and it certainly packs a big punch with a maximum muzzle velocity approaching 1400 fps - making it ideal as a hunting air rifle, even if you wouldn't want to shoot it all day for plinking!<br />
<br />
You can see the full test review of the Beeman Mach 12.5 air rifle here at <a href="http://hardairmagazine.com/reviews/airgun-test-reviews/beeman-mach-12-5-air-rifle-test-review-177-cal/">http://hardairmagazine.com/reviews/airgun-test-reviews/beeman-mach-12-5-air-rifle-test-review-177-cal</a>Stephen Archerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13543155589352079608noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6186681188953339980.post-70528928392791331552014-10-25T20:26:00.000-04:002014-10-25T20:26:02.121-04:00Improved Open Sights Fitted to QB78 Repeater by CustomerArcher Airguns customer Ron R. was disappointed that his <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/QB78-Repeater-p/qb78repeater22.htm">QB78 Repeater</a> was not fitted with open sights. The latest batch of .22 caliber QB78 Repeaters is fitted with 15mm diameter barrels and muzzle brakes, instead of 14mm barrels and open sights.<br />
<br />
So he decided to install an <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Rear-Field-Sight-p/aarfsight.htm">Industry Brand Rear Field Sight</a> on the Repeater breech and a QB78 Deluxe fiber optic front sight on the muzzle brake.<br />
<br />
As neither of these parts is an exact "drop in" fit, Ron made a little project of this, with good results as you can see.<br />
<br />
The Rear Field Sight required some work with a triangular needle file so that it would fit the contours of the QB78 Repeater breech.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_zLd7XXyYWwrmUwT2J8LkFhxkr_HAsAdLUOkPrIHnOkLFgK5dKzEg9cdlH7uEneA8NkxyFvbLFsbihohdJwVIEPZhOwRy4Hq-76Up0uIm2hcJwJvTJLbYcCtGQW_wn3_l-RJNcfIn80g/s1600/Rear-Sight-web-high.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_zLd7XXyYWwrmUwT2J8LkFhxkr_HAsAdLUOkPrIHnOkLFgK5dKzEg9cdlH7uEneA8NkxyFvbLFsbihohdJwVIEPZhOwRy4Hq-76Up0uIm2hcJwJvTJLbYcCtGQW_wn3_l-RJNcfIn80g/s320/Rear-Sight-web-high.jpg" /></a><br />

<br />
For the front sight, Ron used the technique shown in this YouTube video, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBHOay8TAiI">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBHOay8TAiI</a> but applied it to the front sight matching the muzzle weight, instead of a rear sight to the breech as shown.<br />

<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEwopsl3-qhw2gkgAChgus6CO6S46iFXAkJmtLHJQL3bmYTtkE9AZz3Hy55c4S2X9LJDHNBAqXAw1crqJXIBd3xlfTjHjZdW_liD3buUwMPdx16zs7RVcYXEIhDWew0wRhmsjCYNXRBHA/s1600/Whisper-G2-Cover-Pic+HAM.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEwopsl3-qhw2gkgAChgus6CO6S46iFXAkJmtLHJQL3bmYTtkE9AZz3Hy55c4S2X9LJDHNBAqXAw1crqJXIBd3xlfTjHjZdW_liD3buUwMPdx16zs7RVcYXEIhDWew0wRhmsjCYNXRBHA/s320/Whisper-G2-Cover-Pic+HAM.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
This test reviews shows that he Gamo Whisper G2 does many things well. It's accurate, consistent, light and fairly easy to shoot for a spring/piston air rifle of this power. <br />
<br />
HAM recorded a maximum of 1162 FPS with 5.56 grain H&N Field Target Trophy Green pellets, giving 16.68 Ft/Lbs of muzzle energy.<br />
<br />
Accuracy was very good or excellent with 6 out of the 7 standard HAM test pellets. The Gamo Whisper G2 air rifle tested by HAM performed well with all pellets except the RWS Hobbys. This gun is not pellet picky.<br />
<br />
The main opportunity for improvement is in the bundled scope. This does not match the quality of the air rifle itself. Do yourself a favor and replace it with a superior quality scope that will be a better match for the quality of the gun. You'll probably see a considerable improvement in practical accuracy as a result.<br />
<br />
While knowledgeable airgunners will value the Gamo Whisper G2 air rifle for its accuracy and consistent performance, the overwhelming majority of buyers for this air rifle are not airgun experts and will buy it based on the marketing claims. Both groups will probably feel that they made a good decision!<br />

In the past few weeks, Archer Airguns has added a number of new products to it's increasing coverage of Benjamin Marauder parts kits. These new kits are for the Marauder air rifle, some of them are listed here for your interest...<br />
<br />
Now we have complete Crosman factory valves for the <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Valve-for-Benjamin-Marauder-p/maraudervalve2563.htm">.25 cal Marauder air rifle</a>. These valves can also be used in the .22 and .177 cal Marauder air rifles as a way to increase the muzzle velocity of the gun- although of course, they suck up a LOT more air with every shot and your shot count will fall.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA62SVTxALbh6xiclkuwtl5egVpAZE71Fz7JbRzclYxsbWgVKZr_zgbVt2VBN_G0WWnw764nNvuUR8GYSeC9tO_G7DqQW7Q5eLAy1KWJ_ta6nN_7NIuP2Rw_z9rWANsIw6hnvIeHw9mfY/s1600/Marauder-.25-valve.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiA62SVTxALbh6xiclkuwtl5egVpAZE71Fz7JbRzclYxsbWgVKZr_zgbVt2VBN_G0WWnw764nNvuUR8GYSeC9tO_G7DqQW7Q5eLAy1KWJ_ta6nN_7NIuP2Rw_z9rWANsIw6hnvIeHw9mfY/s320/Marauder-.25-valve.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
The .25 cal valve should be used with the corresponding high flow transfer port sleeve. These <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Valve-for-Benjamin-Marauder-p/maraudervalve2563.htm">Marauder high flow transfer port sleeves</a> are also now available.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhk9cQZbFbf5oxevCQqpD-OcebhbdM-eYTMZldAzEnb8PNiTIgyXqTaY22lIUOwwMdStvKN-8gcGuNQVQO1UOR7tudPudCkW02Hy4JQYgALxkjuk38X0d4T1MN0Wb_M_oNrvx3xbo5CFoY/s1600/Mrod-Transfer-sleeve-.25.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhk9cQZbFbf5oxevCQqpD-OcebhbdM-eYTMZldAzEnb8PNiTIgyXqTaY22lIUOwwMdStvKN-8gcGuNQVQO1UOR7tudPudCkW02Hy4JQYgALxkjuk38X0d4T1MN0Wb_M_oNrvx3xbo5CFoY/s320/Mrod-Transfer-sleeve-.25.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
Also new are Marauder air rifle screw kits. These fit the "first generation" Marauder air rifles. Yes, I know that we mentioned them before, but here's a second airing as they are proving very popular with Marauder parts buyers! <br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Screw-Kit-for-Benjamin-Marauder-p/marauderscrewkita.htm">Marauder Screw Kit A</a> includes many of the "internal" screws for the Mrod. including: <br />
4 x Trigger Side Plate Screws, Part 1763-056<br />
4 x Trigger Assembly Retaining Screws, Part 1763-035<br />
1 x Hammer Setscrew, Part 1763-022<br />
1 x Bolt Catch Retaining Screw, Part 1763-024<br />
3 x Valve Securing Screws, Part 1763-019<br />
<br />

<br />
<a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Screw-Kit-for-Benjamin-Marauder-p/marauderscrewkitb.htm">Marauder Screw Kit B</a> has a number of the most useful "external" screws for original Marauder air rifles, including:<br />
2 x Breech Locating Screws, Part 1763-027<br />
1 x Stock Screw (blued) Screw, Part 1763-029<br />
2 x Barrel Band Screw, Part 1763-023<br />

<br />
This upgrade can be installed on new QB78, QB79, AR2078, AR2078A and AR2079 air rifles purchased from Archer Airguns. Alternatively it can be purchased in "kit only" form for you to install on your own air rifle. Full instructions are included in the kit and the photographs here will also help.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy-wG7sKbVK2jUaIVo-iYd8yF6g9VRE_TcusOOSAnHIN1EOMtR4DXqdOk6Au6LJX05IQ-dySHNTxPdiOfbY5pLYyZE9K71EZx6cec_6hQbesO7YfV7hiY2rxq7fHoNbW4JaOvgyY2aaAg/s1600/Cock-on-opening-web-high.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy-wG7sKbVK2jUaIVo-iYd8yF6g9VRE_TcusOOSAnHIN1EOMtR4DXqdOk6Au6LJX05IQ-dySHNTxPdiOfbY5pLYyZE9K71EZx6cec_6hQbesO7YfV7hiY2rxq7fHoNbW4JaOvgyY2aaAg/s320/Cock-on-opening-web-high.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
Many QB78 shooters have always wanted a "cock on opening" version of their air rifles, but previously this has been available only as a specialist conversion from dedicated airgun tuners. The big issue is that the QB78 hammer needs to be drilled for revised placement of the hammer pin - and it's INCREDIBLY hard!<br />
<br />
Archer Airguns has made a "production" cock on opening conversion kit available for the first time ever. Installation is a simple drop in process, as can be seen from the photographs below.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfxkzSVaJ2FDA4WExM16m4ns4Os8sZlPH-JsUNjbWueqODu6Y5iiAfUBnLDe7z5IsOtHwII9Q6OEzyzQby8YHT65IQb2GhmMjYzc3ew-1uWZ5qSdvlrldiYZioWQvaF7vQ0GmKgyt4UgA/s1600/Cock-on-opening-1-high-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfxkzSVaJ2FDA4WExM16m4ns4Os8sZlPH-JsUNjbWueqODu6Y5iiAfUBnLDe7z5IsOtHwII9Q6OEzyzQby8YHT65IQb2GhmMjYzc3ew-1uWZ5qSdvlrldiYZioWQvaF7vQ0GmKgyt4UgA/s320/Cock-on-opening-1-high-web.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt9pkfMlzRgCINux8aU_GDhohYpzEfWBsOug5jNOfyg_E9HJrrTZTj56v6lIUa-dZSKqNh4UUntROQXCNfzKdU1ngyptPsrcYAda9VJKdeIyA5JkZQyKcUrrarw03vowpq4jvsTu5P-r4/s1600/Cock-on-opening-2-web-high.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjt9pkfMlzRgCINux8aU_GDhohYpzEfWBsOug5jNOfyg_E9HJrrTZTj56v6lIUa-dZSKqNh4UUntROQXCNfzKdU1ngyptPsrcYAda9VJKdeIyA5JkZQyKcUrrarw03vowpq4jvsTu5P-r4/s320/Cock-on-opening-2-web-high.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
In addition, the Archer Airguns cock on opening conversion kit also minimizes the problem with previous cock on opening mods in that it's very easy to load pellets. There's still 13/32-inch available for pellet loading, as the photograph below shows.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-gBUoXP69IkLi1kRvV8DJoT1WW4hTyP2FZLabsjrhjMHNzi-J_rojJ27SzkgHWXie_tiFky0STml8NZOVWs6Slrzkzb7rXzM2941CCOAgdKGQd4ajNkk-PhVCA-E16L-OwkY8hPupNcc/s1600/Cock-on-opening-3-web-high.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-gBUoXP69IkLi1kRvV8DJoT1WW4hTyP2FZLabsjrhjMHNzi-J_rojJ27SzkgHWXie_tiFky0STml8NZOVWs6Slrzkzb7rXzM2941CCOAgdKGQd4ajNkk-PhVCA-E16L-OwkY8hPupNcc/s320/Cock-on-opening-3-web-high.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
This kit also fits the Crosman 160 and is also the first time - to my knowledge - that a cock on opening kit has been made available for that classic old air rifle.<br />

<br />
Among these kits are two sets of screws for the Marauder. These are for the "version 1" or "old model" of the Mrod, not the guns with the latest synthetic stock. We find these screws handy to have around as part of our <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Marauder-Reseal-Repair-Service-p/marauderresealservice.htm">Reseal Service for Benjamin Marauder air rifles</a> and I'm sure that the same will be true for the many people who enjoy working on their own guns.<br />
<a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Screw-Kit-for-Benjamin-Marauder-p/marauderscrewkita.htm"><br />
Screw Kit A for Marauder Air Rifles</a> comprises screws associated with the trigger assembly, the valve securing screws and a couple of others.<br />
<br />
There are:<br />
4 x Trigger Plate Side Screws, Part 1763-056<br />
4 x Trigger Assembly Retaining Screws, Part 1763-035<br />
1 x Hammer Set Screw, Part 1763-022<br />

<br />
The best and simplest way for anyone to improve their shooting with a Crosman 760 is to install a scope and use this instead of the open sights supplied fitted to the gun. You'll be amazed at the improvement shooting through a scope can make!<br />
<br />
So, Archer Airguns has two, great value scope packages for the 760.<br />
<br />
The lowest cost package includes a <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/4-x-20-scope-and-rings-for-Crosman-760-p/4x20scope760.htm">4 x 20 scope and rings for the Crosman 760</a>. This mounts directly to the 760 - as shown in the photograph below. The scope is adjustable for elevation, windage and eye focus. It's also supplied with push on lens caps. <br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXlL77fkhvj77jfjw5F27IBYloBr6urnOuGmjhpV-WEqMOdYbIyrhlNUa2_zGzKAH-AkjjTGL7NKHsyhOg2MmmfuBtmAfYkwIvmuQ7oBZC0hg8vVzfkwlusEnAN2vNI2dFIGoU5EVVupo/s1600/760-4-x-20-scope-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXlL77fkhvj77jfjw5F27IBYloBr6urnOuGmjhpV-WEqMOdYbIyrhlNUa2_zGzKAH-AkjjTGL7NKHsyhOg2MmmfuBtmAfYkwIvmuQ7oBZC0hg8vVzfkwlusEnAN2vNI2dFIGoU5EVVupo/s320/760-4-x-20-scope-web.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
Stepping up is a <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/4-x-32-scope-and-rings-for-Crosman-760-p/4x40scope760.htm">4 x 40 Scope and Rings for Crosman 760</a>. The larger, better quality scope gives a much better image and has 4 x greater light gathering capability than the 4 x 20 scope for a brighter, sharper image. This scope also has a duplex reticle, click-adjustable elevation and windage turrets and eyepiece focusing. <br />
<br />
A special set of low profile rings are included and these mount directly onto the 760's scope rails. This is about as much scope as most people will need on a Crosman 760!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1k8UHJ1d8_ONnPQRJCoWKpCvzhBTv9MG0H-ci-efV1IMt0zBnk_UUooEVujeFNEa4PuulEep0OSzNn4xmVzG3f8tF-E2p8QZwxzfIZZ7KulL3s6vVNUmwxxcCJ2Uru7ybRCQxGs9uir8/s1600/760-4-x-40-scope-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1k8UHJ1d8_ONnPQRJCoWKpCvzhBTv9MG0H-ci-efV1IMt0zBnk_UUooEVujeFNEa4PuulEep0OSzNn4xmVzG3f8tF-E2p8QZwxzfIZZ7KulL3s6vVNUmwxxcCJ2Uru7ybRCQxGs9uir8/s320/760-4-x-40-scope-web.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
A red dot sight is also a great option for improving shooting with a 760. But most of those currently available have Weaver/Picatinny type mounts that are not compatible with the scope rails on the Crosman 760.<br />
<br />
Archer Airguns <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Weaver-Mount-Adapter-for-Crosman-760-p/weavermount760.htm">Weaver Picatinny Mount Adapter for Crosman 760</a> overcomes that problem. This adapter comprises two parts that fit into the Weaver/Picatinny mounts of the red dot sight (or scope rings). The whole assembly is then lowered onto the 760's scope rails and the Weaver mount tightened. Perfect!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLIkXwNyfvdqzZQzu-202lXrkPtk7V3_AmrH38Ys9qaH7b0_11xJGe-B3IXUFe5tChfZWoL7_vT8XAaq6ktfnY1EZwllWnBV_wNIXt9bDL8CvosjZ0rxoDurvvz4mntxYYFI8eb4mlrIU/s1600/DTP-760-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLIkXwNyfvdqzZQzu-202lXrkPtk7V3_AmrH38Ys9qaH7b0_11xJGe-B3IXUFe5tChfZWoL7_vT8XAaq6ktfnY1EZwllWnBV_wNIXt9bDL8CvosjZ0rxoDurvvz4mntxYYFI8eb4mlrIU/s320/DTP-760-web.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
For those with an old, tired 760, Archer Airguns also introduces a <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Seal-Kit-for-Crosman-760-p/2xresealkit760.htm">Reseal Kit for Crosman 760</a>. <br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgPUyrbBYBTTMVwNbrhrte5NrG45518KMP79Eipbmaawrw-MaXhPZeoiAzWMlZl9dagbwJmaTwQJzy1r8U3EgknWmM2oqPiEWENl8h81wALciIcHwC8jdbZgClyxwUuRZwySwV-BxakME/s1600/760-Seal-Kit-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgPUyrbBYBTTMVwNbrhrte5NrG45518KMP79Eipbmaawrw-MaXhPZeoiAzWMlZl9dagbwJmaTwQJzy1r8U3EgknWmM2oqPiEWENl8h81wALciIcHwC8jdbZgClyxwUuRZwySwV-BxakME/s320/760-Seal-Kit-web.jpg" /></a><br />
<br />
This "2X" Seal Kit includes two sets of the seals most likely to cause an old Crosman 760 to become "tired" and shoot slow. These seals will fit any of the many millions of 760s manufactured by Crosman since 1977! No instructions are included, but it's easy to find instructional videos on the 760 on YouTube and these will help with this project. <br />
<br />
Having two sets of seals gives confidence when undertaking the repair, or provides a spare set of seals for another reseal project in future.Stephen Archerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13543155589352079608noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6186681188953339980.post-4363643659923913792014-08-30T11:42:00.002-04:002014-08-30T16:30:27.507-04:00More Parts Kits Available for Crosman and Benjamin PCP AirgunsA variety of new parts kits are now available from Archer Airguns to help you fix Crosman and Benjamin PCP airguns that are in need of a little TLC.<br />
<br />
Now in stock is the <a href="http://">Crosman Challenger 2009 PCP Air Rifle valve assembly</a>. This comes complete with the two O rings and valve stem seal assembly. This is Crosman part number CH2009-030.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhewDD40K-SqUvEUGUNDdD3Fn6kDt5Klcsrz9pHwMv-INtvJzCpkvQZEXXXiubC9-o_CrlZtIJrLzYsZhVPffzU9g8oYFeIhBJqf71yoLGyOM235gX1YD39lctVCqajoh3Y_t3EQ1EiVBU/s1600/Challenger-Valve-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" ><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhewDD40K-SqUvEUGUNDdD3Fn6kDt5Klcsrz9pHwMv-INtvJzCpkvQZEXXXiubC9-o_CrlZtIJrLzYsZhVPffzU9g8oYFeIhBJqf71yoLGyOM235gX1YD39lctVCqajoh3Y_t3EQ1EiVBU/s320/Challenger-Valve-web.jpg" /></a> <br />
<br />
Also for the Challenger 2009 is a kit of the tiny stainless steel balls and very delicate O rings that are used in the T Handle of the Challenger 2009. These parts are very easy to loose when working on the Challenger - trust me, I know! - and this kit provides a simple way to acquire two sets of these parts. Two bolt probe O rings are also included. The <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/T-Handle-Repair-Kit-for-Crosman-Challenger-2009-p/challengerthandlekit.htm">Archer Airguns T Handle Repair Kit for Challenger 2009 PCP Air Rifles</a> looks like this...<br />

<br />
And last, but not least, there's the <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/Valve-Stem-Assembly-for-Benjamin-Marauder-p/maraudervalvestem.htm">Valve Stem Assembly for Benjamin Marauder Air Rifles and Pistols</a>. This fits all models of the Marauder, including the first and current (synthetic stock) model Mrod air rifles.<br />

<br />
Hopefully these parts kits - in addition to the others already available - will be useful for those of you working on your Crosman and Benjamin PCP air rifles.<br />
<br />
Happy Labor Day to all!<br />

Mechanically, the QB58 is definitely a first cousin to the well known QB57 air rifle. The main differences to the QB57 are the conventional, non-takedown, configuration and a somewhat higher muzzle velocity specification. Below, you can see how the QB57 and QB58 compare...<br />

The QB58 is compact for a conventional air rifle configuration, which makes it easy to shoot. But please note that this gun is best shot with open sights, a red dot sight or a short scope such as the Leapers Bugbuster. The short compression chamber means that regular-length scopes will cover the loading port, making it very difficult to load pellets.<br />
<br />
<b>ALSO, whenever loading the QB58 - like ANY sidelever springer - be sure to keep your arm between the body of the gun and the open cocking lever when loading pellets. DO NOT press the red bear trap interlock button until the air rifle is loaded and your fingers are well clear of the breech area! <a href="http://www.archerairguns.info/2011/09/airgun-safety-dont-let-this-happen-to.html">READ THIS POST FOR A GRAPHIC WARNING ABOUT LOADING THE QB58 SAFELY</a>.</b>Stephen Archerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13543155589352079608noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6186681188953339980.post-90641640120098265442014-08-13T18:55:00.002-04:002014-08-13T18:55:45.543-04:00QB79 Repeater Gold Service Test TargetJust thought you might like to see a nice Gold Service test target shot today from a customer's <a href="http://www.archerairguns.com/QB79-PCP-Repeater-p/qb79pcprepeater177.htm">QB79 PCP Repeater and Tank Bundle .177 Cal.</a> That's 10 shots at 10 yards.<br />
